Every year since 1950 the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion has been held in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Attracting visitors from around the world, it has grown to be the largest show of its kind in the United States. Held every Labor Day weekend on over 200 acres this event has become an icon of Rural Americana. With this video you'll ride along on a 1910 Russell steam traction engine and in the cab of an 1891 Baldwin locomotive. Hit and miss one-cylinder engines, a steam-powered carousel, a veneer mill, stationary engines and hundreds of vintage gas and steam tractors are also featured.
